  1. Gender and age:-
    1.      There were 69 female responses and 43 male.
    2.       Age profile: – 95% (106) respondent were in the 51 or older with 62% (70) being in the 61-80 age range.
  2. Cancer types
    1.      41% (47)  of  cancer types  were gender specific
    2.       Skin cancers were the highest non-gender specific number 17% (19).
    3.       Bowel cancers were next 12% (13)
    4.       The next largest category was other 11% (12)
    5.       Lung and Upper GI with 11% together (respectively 7 and 5) were the next most significant.
  3.  Client experience; -
    1.       Of 10 areas commented on, 2 were positive,1 neither positive or negative and 7 negative
    2.        Nursing care was rated positive 8 times (9 responses)
    3.        Clinics 48 out of 55, Wards 15 out of 15, Radiotherapy 24 from 27 were all had negative responses.
    4.        Chemo unit 10 form 17 and Communication skill  6 from 7 also attracted negative responses
  4.  Areas of new techniques and processes suggested for improvement and identified constraints; -
    1.         State of the art equipment (26) followed by Radiotherapy at Broomfield (23) were significantly the most identified suggested service improvements.
    2.         Next identified was State of the art treatment and drugs (10)
    3.         The most identified constraint on service improvement was finance (15)
    4.         Car parking (8), site expansion (7) and retaining good staff (7) were seen as constraints.
    5.         Not all respondents identified areas for improvement.
